“Women more likely to die in natural disasters”

This November 22, 2015 article from the Sydney Morning Herald site talks about risks that impact women more than men after a disaster.  Among the factors that seem to contribute to the deaths of more women after a disaster is lack of access to feminine hygiene items along with an increase of risk of becoming victims of human trafficking and other risk factors.
